Joseph Wiendl (Joe) joined StarCore’s management team in 2022. He is a generalist, who serves as our Director of Corporate Strategy/Development, as well as Corporate Secretary.
Wiendl brings over 25 years of military operations and business finance experience. He concentrates on governance, administration, legal support, financial strategy, financial operations, securities valuation, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, and corporate (venture) development.
His service in the U.S. Navy as a qualified surface warfare officer included tours in engineering and combat operations in the Cruiser-Destroyer community, and also as a command legal officer. Later as a civilian, he served as an internal consulting team member at Lockheed Martin Astronautics in Denver, then as a junior investment banking officer at merchant and investment banks including Macquarie and Raymond James. At the latter he co-authored two nuclear industry research books and participated in industry transactions involving major component custom fabrication, spent fuel casks manufacturing, uranium fuel pellet manufacturing, and low-level radioactive waste storage. For several more years, Wiendl provided his consulting services to numerous small companies under $100 million in revenue. In one such venture, United Tribes Power, he assembled numerous U.S. federally recognized Tribes into a Tribal Energy Resource Development Organization under federal law—the largest such entity ever formed at the time.
Joe carries accredited degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy (Aerospace Engineering: Astronautics), the Wharton School of Business (MBA Finance), and the University of Tampa (MS Accounting). He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida. His memberships include ASTM International, Leadership Florida (where he serves on audit and regional committees), and the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry. He has served in two voluntary positions in the Florida administration of Governor Jeb Bush, first as a commissioner and then as an economic development officer assisting in Florida’s aerospace industry strategy.
