Ross held senior executive positions in the minerals and metals industry for over 25 years, including management of technical services to smelting and refining and collaboration on quality and operational productivity and business analysis with international customers in the USA, Asia and Europe.
His executive level responsibilities for managing diverse teams on feasibility studies of large projects and business transformations have exposed him to the necessity to carefully manage both external and internal risks to businesses to complete projects within time, cost and social constraints. Energy and utility requirements can feature strongly toward the feasibility of such projects, particularly those positioned in remote areas of the world. That exposure led to exploration of more effective methods both technically and economically such as the StarCore approach.
Ross is also the principal of a management consulting company which focuses on business transformation, productivity improvement while engaging all stakeholders on the journey. Rhe has also served on several corporate boards.
Ross is driven by three major values:
